A month has passed with the little one at home. The simz are coping fine cos we had engaged a confinement lady. Everything has to come to pass.. the confinement lady is leaving tomorrow! Tonight will be our last 'sleep through' nights. It could also mean my 'me time' will no longer exist.. how I wish I could go back to work! Not that I don't like the little tot or dislike the idea of taking care of him. Going back to work will at least allow me to visit the loo in peace.
Through this month, papa and mama simz had a good bonding! (Hee.. with the bb too!). Having this additional member has made mama simz realised papa simz has been a very supportive husband and father, trying to provide whatever he can for us! Just that I didn't realised this trait of his until now.. nevertheless, it's never too late! Really have to thank God for blessing mama simz with such a sweet and understanding hubby! Though the journey with the little tot might be tough, with his support and encouragement, I believe we can provide a home filled with love and warmth which mama simz had missed during her childhood days.. =)

Missed my period for 1 weeks so bought a pregnancy kit to test when we are on the way to church. Bingo! It was a mixed emotion in the toilet when I saw the positive test results. Was immediately overwhelmed with sadness when I saw papa simz waiting anxiously outside the toilet. He was so happy that he throw me a big hug and wanted me to show him the kit! However, tears dropped uncontrollable when we are in the service.. So many things not achieved.. my studies, career.. didn't really get to enjoy our new home yet, (We just shifted in for 3 months.) what more our traveling plan!! (The promised of going to a far away country before having baby!)

Papa Simz: so delighted when the gynae said that it might be a twins!

12 Jul 08 (week 7)
Mama Simz not doing well! Nausea, tired.. and worst of all.. heavy spotting! Papa Simz called the hotline to look for Dr Lim but he was away for holiday. So Dr Tracy, who was his relief, suggested we go down to Mt. A to let her check if the baby is doing well. Mama Simz think that she and baby are safe in God's hand, therefore wanted to go down for review on the next day instead.
Little tot was doing well in mummy's tummy and was ordered to stay in bed till the next review by Dr Lim, which is 2 days later.

After being 2 weeks of the 'merlion', mama simz had a weight loss of 2kg! Dr Lim thinks that mummy is fit enough to go back to work after the week of rest except that I need to gain back the weight! The next review will be 2 weeks later!

After missing in action for 1 week, mama simz's colleagues were all curious what had happened that she deserve a 1 week mc. Mama simz do not know how to break the news cos she's mentally unprepared. Moreover having only worked with the company for 8 months, with 7 months out of this 8 months, she had plan for a greener pasture. =(
Due to the unplanned pregnancy, it had caused much tension and stressed between papa simz and mama simz, cos mama simz do not know how to express herself well and papa simz do not know how to handle a grouchy pregnant lady.
30 Aug 08 (week 14)
Dr Lim saw something during the scan..... the small little thingy stuck in between the legs..
Due to whatever reason, there wasn't any scan pics for us. The weeks passed very quickly with mama simz having to prepared for her last 3 papers and papa simz moving on to the new job.
Week 37 - Week 39
Mama simz not sleeping well at night due to the pressure on the bladder and to squeeze on a small bed with a big round tum tum! So mama simz will make herself real tired before going to bed, hopeful that she can sleep through the night.
26 Feb 2009 (Week 40)
The night before, (25th feb) papa simz called mama simz in the evening that he met with a small accident with a pick-up car while driving his way home. Papa simz was so angry and upset cos he don't want to be caught in a situation where he can't sent me to the hospital as the little tot might pop any time soon. Due to the eventful day, papa simz decided to turn in early so that he can head straight to the garage to fixed the car in the morning. As mama simz don't want to sleep so early, she decided to keep herself bz playing with the online game till 2am.
4am : Mama simz was woken up not by the full bladder, but the strong regular contraction. She timed the intervals and was pretty sure the little tot is going to pop today! Immediately woke up papa simz.
Mama Simz: I think I am having labour pain

Mama Simz: I don't think it's false alarm. We need to go to the hospital!!
Sensing my urgency, papa simz packed the bag while I took a bath. On the way to the hospital, we went for breakfast along Upper Thomson Road.. kinda of sad when mama simz couldn't eat her favourite prata!
When we reached TMC, everything happened very quickly. By 2pm, the little tot was sucked and pushed out by the midwives! Weighing 3.97kg and 52cm long.
